Cuteness at it's best

Just a little tidbit about my morning. First off let me say that we've been working with Myles to say please and thank you. He's picking it up pretty well but this morning was the best. Usually we have to ask him to say please when he want something and most of the time he throws a fit and won't do it so I take his hand and assist him in making the sign for please and I say it to explain to him what I'm doing. When he does do the sign it's the cutest because he puts his had to his chest and then pushes it down really fast as he says pees. I don't know how else to explain it except that its cute cute cute!
So this morning he was standing at the top of the stair waiting for me to come up and he saw that I had his cup in my hand, he gets a cup of milk every morning in the car. As I was walking up the stairs he looked at me did the sign and said "pees" and the reached straight out for me to hand him his cup. I didn't even have to ask him to say it. He he I love knowing that I'm actually getting through to him.

Christmas

It's a little late, but I wanted to write about how much fun Christmas was. Myles had a blast, he did pretty good at opening his presents although he did get bored half way through and just wanted to play with what was open. goof ball...he got a cozy coupe car which he likes pretty well and some blocks that he loves, but by far the best thing he got was from Grandma Teresa. A slide, it's about 2 feet tall and he can't get enough, he goes down frontwards and backwards and on his tummy and however else he can figure out, it's hilarious! Pics coming soon.

Logan was here the Saturday after and of course got quite a bit of stuff, A Spider Man bike was his big gift from Santa as well as some board games, Chutes and Ladders and Memory. We love to play games as a family. He also got a Leapster 2 and some books for his Leap Pad and one favorite thing his Spider Man "Lap Top." Oddly enough I think his absolute favorite gift was the DC shoes and DC Hat that we got him. He wore it all week where ever we went it was on. He's growing up so fast. My little teenager at 4 years. HAHA.

I got Chris a case for this old teddy bear he's had in storage for 24 years. It's a Kareem Abdul Ja-Bear and it's nice that he can finally display it. The boys "made" him a Ute's blanket and pillow, by far his favorite gift.

And I got a Nintendo DS with some games, I LOVE IT!! I can't remember the last time I had a "game boy" of sorts. It's great. I also got a bunch of books that I'd been wanting and some more Precious Moments to add to my collection.

YAY for Christmas, although as much as I love it I'm also glad it's over. Next year we're going much smaller. We've decided the if Jesus only got 3 gifts then our kids don't need anymore than that either.

Otis is home

Last night was one sacry night for us. Our dog Otis ran away. We have no idea when he left. Just that I noticed he was gone around 9 last night. Chris, my mom and I drove around for over an hour looking for him with no luck. I was so scared for him. I had just taken him to the groomer and he is completly shaved and I didn't want him waking the baby up so I had taken his collar off! I'm thankful to say that some how he made it home around 11:30. Special thanks to my mom who decided to go back and and look for him. He was on the front porch and probably would have taken off again if she hadn't gone back out.
He was limping a little this morning so I'm hoping he didn't get hit by a car or anything. I'm just so thankful he's home the little dork! I'll tell you this, I'm going to be a much better pet owner from now on. I can't believe how scared I was for him. It sure did give me a better view of how much I care about him.
