When did the world become so dependant on these smart little boxes??? Today at work was a total nightmare. Our system has been down all day, no Internet access, no email, and worst of all none of the customers have been able to place their orders online. It's just now at 4:45 p.m. that we've started seeing orders come through. It's a complicated situation how the company runs but long story short, it's been the absolute worst!!! Luckily now things are sort of up and running, not 100% but at least enough that orders are coming through. And we don't all have to be here until 9 tonight. I remember when there weren't computers and how simple things were for me, of course I was much younger then. Now as much as I love them most days, it's days like today that I realize that if everything crashed one day, we as a planet are completely done for.

Going Crafty!

I'm so excited! I've recently decided that I want to start scrapbooking and making cards and things of that nature, maybe it's the constant nagging that I'm not doing enough for my kids, that I'm not around enough. So I'm taking the time to document everything about them. Making sure that they have something to make sure they have a way to remember the times when I was there and so they can always know how much I care. At any rate I've gotten really into it latley. So much so that I'm now doing a card exchange with my mom and some of her friends. Here is my first ever Card Exchange card. It's simple and I love it!!!

Holidays

Maybe it's just because I have kids now, but I look forward to Holidays more than I can ever remember. Even little ones like St. Patty's day tomorrow. I got Myles a new green shirt just for the occasion. And I'm already excited and planning for Easter. The gifts for their baskets are already here, I ordered them last week, and I'm ordering their books on Wed. They get at least 1 book for every major holiday and birthday. I'm really working on keeping things small though, I'm a major shop-for-my-kids-aholic and always go way overboard. So this year, it's an outfit, an educational toy or 2 and a book about the REAL meaning of Easter for both of them. And of course just a little candy. I'm excited to take them to the Egg Hunt at my mom's work, they have it every year and it should be super fun this year because Myles will actually understand what's going on. I've also sort of started planning Logan's birthday, (bowling party) which isn't until July and as of right now I know the theme of Myles' which is in September, that one is subject to change however, based on his interest at the time.

On another subject. I'm VERY excited about the shift in the weather, I honestly thought it would be cold forever! And although I know we're not completely out of the woods yet, we're close enough that I'm content. I do hope it holds through the weekend. I haven't told Chris yet but I'm planning a hike for us all in two weeks, the next time we have Logan. YAY for fun outdoor family time!
