I'm not always big on Valentines Day. However this year was about as perfect as it could have been. Chris likes the holiday and feels that even if we don't make it a big deal we should still do something. So during the week we got a sitter and went out to dinner. He took me to Z'Tejas. One of my faves. It's at the Gateway, so after we finished eating we took a very cold walk to Ben and Jerry's, another fave! It was a simple night and so much fun. I love spending quality time with Chris. We so rarely get out of the house without the kids. It was a nice break.
We weren't planning on doing anything else, but my brother called on Saturday to see if we wanted to go to Wise Guys Comedy Club with them. The kids stayed over night at Grandma and Grandpa's and Grandma Teresa's (one kid per) and we were able to again have a fun night. The comics were very entertaining and getting to hang out with my bro and sis-in-law was fun too. Sunday was spent mostly at my parents house with my Sister and her family. To me that's what this holiday is all about, not only spending time with that one special person, but with everyone that's important. Everyone that you love. And that's just what I got to do. Thanks again for such a great Valentines Day Honey! Your the Greatest!!
Possibly my way of being able to look back and know what happened when my kids were growing up

Monster Trucks!
Instead of trying to back track and post everything that's happened since before Christmas, I'm going to start fresh. This past weekend was such a blast. We took the boys to see the Monster Trucks at Energy Solutions Arena. They had such a GREAT time! We wanted it to be a surprise for Logan, so we made up a story about going mountain climbing and jumping off cliffs. He totally bought it clear up until the time we sat in our seats. Even with us being inside ESA he kept asking where the mountain was and if it was upstairs.
We were able to see some of Logan's favorite trucks. Monster Mutt, After Burner and Bounty Hunter. Grave Digger was also there, for the first time in four years. Myles tells us that his favorite was the "Puppy One" (Monster Mutt), but he also has a new fascination with his Grave Digger truck and walks around the house saying "Monster Tracker", in a deep growling voice. It was a lot more fun that I thought it would be. And being able to see my boys having such a great time made it all worth it. Especially listening to Myles yell at the trucks to crush the cars again. It really was such a great time. I'm so glad we decided to take them.

I have to write this down before I forget. Long story short, we took Myles to Carl's Jr. last night after he informed us that he didn't want to go home, he wanted to go shopping and to eat chicken nuggets...sad. So we're inside the play land and some guy there with his girls asks Myles who one the Super Bowl...Myles sat thinking for a min then looks at him and goes "Don't care." Absolutely cracked me up. Where does he come up with this stuff??
